Merr)Munkhbat, Urin; Veres, Szilvia; Basal, Oqba; DE--Mezőgazdaság- Élelmiszertudományi és Környezetgazdálkodási KarSoybeans are a protein rich source for livestock and fishery, as well as an important component of human diets. Global climate change has resulted in the creation of intricate stress and their effects on crop development and productivity in modern agriculture. The application of exogenous acetic acid, commonly knownas ethanoic acid, is reported to improve the reduction of abiotic stresses such as drought. Climate change, both present and future, is and will undoubtedly alter plant yields, creating significantcomplications to food production for the world's rising population, particularly for species that cannot sufficiently survive drought stress. The purpose of this study was intented to portray the effect of PEG-induced drought stress and the effect of exogenous application of acetic acid on the germination characteristics and physiology of two soybean genotypes, 'Speeda' and 'Coraline', grown in a controlled environment.
