Comparison of the application of lean principles between manufacturing and service industries.

This thesis aims to analyze the application of lean principles in the manufacturing and service industries, to help in the effective implementation of lean principles for companies and organizations operating in this industry now or in the future. In this thesis, the application of lean principles from enterprises and organizations in the service and manufacturing industries was analyzed. In writing this thesis, information from articles, theses, and books was used. The thesis consists of three chapters, the first chapter presents an analysis of research conducted in companies producing various products on lean implementation in the manufacturing industry. In the second chapter, the analysis of the studies conducted on lean principles implementation in the after-sales services sectors, the banking system, the tourism sector, higher education, and the health system of the service sector is given. In the third chapter, comparisons are made based on the analyzed articles on lean principles application in the manufacturing and service industries, and the differences and similarities in the implementation of lean principles in the manufacturing and service industries are highlighted.
