    Cannabinoids are a group of chemical compounds found in the cannabid plant, with delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabidiol being the most well-known compounds. They mediate their effects through endocannabinoid system in the human body, specifically CB1 and CB2 receptors. Upon their activation, cannabinoids show promising therapeutic potential in various medical field including epilepsy, chronic pain, neurodegenrative diseases, and chemotherapy-induced emesis.
