    Can You Believe What You See? - Controversial Representation of Government Agencies in Martin Gero's Blindspot

    This thesis explores the relationship between American politics and the media, the phenomenon of distrust in the government and how these phenomena are represented in television. In my thesis I argue that the government, more importantly government agencies are exposed to controversial representation and I underpin my notions with analyzing specific themes in Martin Gero's Blindspot.

    The Counterculture of the 1960s and the Role of Rock Music

    This paper describes the counterculture movement of the 1960s, and gives a historical and social overview about how this movement came into existence. It also includes the brief history of the Lost Generation of the 1920s and the Beat Generation of the 1950s as the predecessors of the counterculture movement. The paper also deals with the role of rock music and includes lyrics analyses of the songs of the 1960s' rock musicians.
