Several analytical frameworks were utilized to comprehend the components contributing to the company's challenges amid the 2008 global financial crisis and its recovery. The PEST Analysis evaluated macroeconomic and regulatory influences on the company, encompassing political reforms, economic expansion, social dynamics, and technical progress. Porter's Five Forces analysis assessed industry competitiveness and pressures, indicating intense competitive rivalry, minimal supplier bargaining power, significant buyer bargaining power, a low threat of new entrants, and a moderate threat of substitutes. The Key Internal Factors Analysis revealed internal strengths and weaknesses in management practices, marketing strategies, finance systems, production and operations, research and development, and management information systems. The Grand Strategy Matrix identified strategic activities due to the company's weak competitive stance in a slow-growth industry, directing post-bankruptcy strategies.
