Tétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető Egyes baktérium nemzetségek relatív mennyisége különböző mangalica csoportokbanTempfli, Károly; Herceg, Emil Balázs; Szalai, Klaudia; Bali Papp, Ágnes; PhD hallgató; egyetemi oktató, kutatóA sertés mikrobiom összetétele a kor előrehaladtával folyamatosan változik. Az Enterococcus spp. és a Lactobacillus spp. relatív mennyisége a hízóknál volt a legnagyobb, a kanoknál a legkisebb (P<0,05), míg a Prevotella nemzetséget a kanoknál és hízóknál figyeltük meg legnagyobb, az utónevelt malacoknál a legkisebb mennyiségben (P<0,05).Tétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető IGF1 and IGFBP2 polymorphisms in Hungarian Yellow and broiler chickensSzalai, Klaudia; Tempfli, Károly; Lencsés-Varga, Erika; Bali Papp, Ágnes; PhD hallgató; egyetemi oktató, kutatóIndigenous Hungarian Yellow hens (n=436) and Ross broilers (n=103) were genotyped for the A570C single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in insulin-like growth factor (IGF1) and for the G645T non-synonymous SNP in insulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP2) genes. IGF1 is a member of the polypeptide hormone family with structural similarity to insulin. Concentrations of IGF1 and various polymorphisms of the gene have previously been associated with several growth traits in chickens, whereas IGFBPs can modulate the bioactivity and growth-promoting effects of circulating IGF1. PCR-RFLP method with HinfI and BseGI restriction enzymes was applied for genotyping. Significantly (P<0.05) different IGF1 and IGFBP2 allele frequencies were detected between the dual-purpose Hungarian Yellow and the broiler populations, as IGF1 C and IGFBP2 G alleles were fixed in Hungarian Yellow, while in broilers their prevalence was 0.10 and 0.92 respectively. Furthermore, IGBP2 genotype was associated (P<0.05) with live weight at 38 days, carcass weight and breast muscle weight in the broiler population. Despite its low polymorphism information content (0.12), IGFBP2 polymorphism can be valuable for selection programmes in broilers.Tétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető Linseed oil supplementation affects fatty acid desaturase 2, peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma, and insulin-like growth factor 1 gene expression in turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo)Szalai, Klaudia; Tempfli, Károly; Zsédely, Eszter; Lakatos, Erika; Gáspárdy, András; Bali Papp, Ágnes; PhD hallgató; egyetemi oktató, kutatóObjective: Effects of linseed oil (LO) supplementation on the fat content and fatty acid profile of breast meat, and the expression of three genes in the liver, breast muscle and fat tissues of commercial 154-day-old hybrid male turkeys were investigated. Methods: The animals in the control group were fed a commercially available feed and received no LO supplementation (n = 70), whereas animals in the LO group (n = 70) were fed the same basic diet supplemented with LO (day 15 to 21, 0.5%; day 22 to 112, 1%). The effect of dietary LO supplementation on fatty acid composition of breast muscle was examined by gas chromatography, and the expression of fatty acid desaturase 2 (FADS2), peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma (PPAR gamma), and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) genes was analysed by means of quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results: The LO supplementation affected the fatty acid composition of breast muscle. Hepatic FADS2 levels were considerably lower (p<0.001), while adipose tissue expression was higher (p<0.05) in the control compared to the LO group. The PPAR gamma expression was lower (p<0.05), whereas IGF1 was higher (p<0.05) in the fat of control animals. There were no significant (p>0.05) differences in FADS2, PPAR gamma, and IGF1 gene expressions of breast muscle; however, omega-6/omega-3 ratio of breast muscle substantially decreased (p<0.001) in the LO group compared to control. Conclusion: Fatty acid composition of breast meat was positively influenced by LO supplementation without deterioration of fattening parameters. Remarkably, increased FADS2 expression in the liver of LO supplemented animals was associated with a significantly decreased omega-6/omega-3 ratio, providing a potentially healthier meat product for human consumption. Increased PPAR gamma expression in fat tissue of the LO group was not associated with fat content of muscle, whereas a decreased IGF1 expression in fat tissue was associated with a trend of decreasing fat content in muscle of the experimental LO group.Tétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető Single nucleotide polymorphism analysis in meat-production related genes in broiler chickensSzalai, Klaudia; Tempfli, Károly; Lencsés-Varga, Erika; Bali Papp, Ágnes; PhD hallgató; egyetemi oktató, kutatóIn broiler chickens, the intensive selection fo growth rate, feed efficiency, body composition (breast muscle weight) traits in the last decades was successful. To improve economically important characteristics,it is possible to use molecular markers associated with meat production traits. The aim ofvthis study was to examine genotype polymorphisms in ROSS 308 broilers for thyroid hormone responsive Spot14α, insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1), IGF-binding protein 2 (IGFBP2), somatostatin (SST) and prolactin (PRL) genes. A further goal of this investigation was to study the relationship between the polymorphisms and phenotypic characteristics. In the investigated broiler population, the frequency for CC homozygous genotype was 0.77 in Spot14α (AY568628), AA homozygous genotype was 0.80 in IGF1 (M74176), GG homozygous genotype was 0.85 in IGFBP2 (U15086), DD homozygous genotype was 0.60 in PRL (FJ663023 or FJ434669). Only the AA homozygous genotype was found in SST (X60191). Chickens with AC genotype in Spot14α, and with GG genotype in IGFBP2 had higher body weight (BW) and carcass weight (CW), compared to CC and GT genotypes. However, the differences were not significant (P>0.05). There was significant association (P<0.05) between PRL genotypes and body and carcass weight, where chicken with homozygous DD surpassed individuals with homozygous II genotypes.Tétel Szabadon hozzáférhető Single nucleotide polymorphism analysis in meat-production related genes in broiler chickens(Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Enviromental Management of the Debrecen University, Debrecen.)
