Tétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető The contribution of songs to the improvement of the learners' language skillsWinke, Vivien; Bálintné Lipták, Csilla; DE--Bölcsészettudományi KarIn my thesis, my main goal is to present the role of lyrics in language teaching, how useful and suitable they are to improve ˗ besides the listening skills that I am going to describe in details ˗ the leaners' reading, speaking and writing skills as well as their vocabulary and grammar knowledge. In the first part of my thesis I would like to give a short summary about the theoretical background of this field. For instance, what the advantages and possible drawbacks of using songs in the classroom can be, what factors should be considered when picking a song and what task types and activities can be used. In the second part, I am going to present how I used several songs in the classes I held during my teaching practice, with respect to the age and language level of my students. At the end, I am going to summarize those points that I will have to reconsider in the future.Tétel Korlátozottan hozzáférhető The Reception of Thomas Moore's Poetical Works in Nineteenth-Century England and Hungary(2013-02-28T15:46:06Z) Winke, Vivien; Oroszné Gula, Marianna; DE--TEK--Bölcsészettudományi KarThe aim of the present essay is to present these discrepancies in Thomas Moore’s life and their effect on his poetry, as well as Moore’s literary legacy in England and Ireland, his reception by contemporaries and later critics. After this, I analyse Moore’s Hungarian reception and the effect of his nationalist poetry on nineteenth-century Hungarian cultural nationalism and the three Romantic giants Vörösmarty, Petőfi and Arany. In the final chapter, I present the reasons for which Irish-Hungarian literary relations broke off in the second half of the nineteenth century for about four decades.
