    The trajectory of diabetes management has been defined by groundbreaking innovations and persistent challenges. The revolutionary isolation of insulin and the recognition of limitations in mitigating macrovascular risks shaped the trajectory of diabetes management. Newly developed SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists have created a paradigm shift, expanding from glycemic control to cardiorenal protection, even in patients without diabetes mellitus. Thus, the evolution of diabetes care reflects broader advancements in medical science.
