Nowadays, because of rapid development of science and technology, people’s life is changing. Unlike before we can buy almost everything online, people doesn’t need to go outsides anymore. There is no doubt, sometimes people have demand to order food online. Pizza is one of the most popular food in the world, we can see it in a lot of countries. And so many people is crazy about it. So I believe that to create a web page for people to order pizza online should be a good topic. Without a website, customer will order their pizza by calling a pizza shop or go to pizza shop in person, as well we can’t image the situation that all of the orders created by customer are being managed on paper or somewhere. It may cause a lot of troubles for both shopkeeper and customers. Like shopkeeper by accident lost some orders of customer or mix some orders. This website not only provide customer to order pizza online, but also bring benefit to the owner of the pizza shop. It supports pizza shopkeeper to manage pizza shop on the internet. By using this website, pizza shopkeeper can manage customer’s orders easily, besides this website also implement the function which can be used for shopkeeper to update the content of the website, to track state of orders and so on. In addition, this website has implemented all of the basic functions as an online shopping system. We will talk about them in details later. I have been learning Java programming language for four years, it is one of the most popular programming language nowadays. So I decided to develop this website by using Java technology to solve the back-end part. As for the front-end, I prefer to use JSP technology to create the interface of my website, and I use Oracle database to implement data store part. The development tool is Eclipse. All in all, the goal of my website is to implement all of the basic functions for customer to order pizza online, provide them convenience, save their time and simplify pizza shop management for shopkeeper. And there is no doubt that a good management will attract more customers and increase benefits to pizza shop. Besides that by using online order system I would like to make people realize technology is changing our life, it brings us a lot of convinces, it makes this world better. For me, by developing this website I can see my strength and weakness. I did all of what I can do to make this website run better. I have to say practice is the best way to check ourselves if we totally understand what we have learned in school. From this I realize the reason why we learn knowledge is that we should to use it. Don’t just say it and learn, use it and put it in practice.
