International sanctions or even measurements are political and economic decisions that are part of diplomatic efforts by countries, multilateral or regional organisations against states or organisations either to protect national security interests, respect for the rule of law, peace, democracy, human rights and the international protection law, They are always part of a broader, comprehensive policy approach involving political dialogue and complementary efforts. In this study, I go into detail about how such policies have affected and as of 2018 is currently still affecting the economy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
