A disszertáció a 14. századi óorosz igenevek szintaktikai funkcionális változásának feltárását tűzte ki célul. A 14. századi nyelvben terjedt el az igenevek határozói funkcióban történő használata, valamint ebben a korban még használatos volt a dativus absolutus szerkezet. A fenti szerkezeteket két modern nyelvelmélet, a minimalizmus, valamint a Role and Reference Grammar segítségével vizsgálom.

The dissertation aims at exploring the reason for the change in the syntactic status of the 14th century Old Russian system of participles. Special attention is paid to the rise of participles in adverbial function and to dative absolute constructions. The examination of Old Russian participle constructions is carried out applying modern syntactic methods - minimalism and RRG.
