The impact of obesity on pregnancy and maternal and fetal outcomes.

Abstract

This study is a compilation of various research papers and journals which use research methods such as systematic review, meta-analysis and cohort studies.It describes the general health effects of obesity such as cardiovascular,respiratory and renal diseases.It emphasises the effects of obesity on pregnancy, which includes both maternal and fetal effects. It also highlights the management of obesity in pregnancy and the prevention of obesity through various methods such as regular physical activity and bariatric surgery before conception.
