Overview of the Genetic Background Influencing the Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Statins
Absztrakt
Statins are regular and universal medications for preventing cardiovascular disease and hyperlipidemia. Despite their effectiveness, statin response varies significantly between individuals, which can be attributable to a number of genetic factors and personal medication habits. This thesis aims to review the genetic factors affecting the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of statins.
