dc.description.abstractAn overview of type 2 diabetes in children and adolescents. The definition and the worldwide development of type 2 diabetes in different countries will be first discussed. After that, I will focus on the pathomechanism and the risk factors that distribute to this significant growth in recent decades. The differences in characteristics of T2DM in Asia compared to European countries and the US will also be revised. Lastly, the clinical signs and symptoms, the diagnosis, comorbidities, complications, and treatment strategies used in the management of pediatric type 2 diabetes will be mentioned.hu_HU
