dc.description.abstract | In Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights the function of books is manifold. Both authors use the recurring motif of books and reading as a tool of characterisation, for the advancement of the plot, or for cohesive device in the narrative structure. In my thesis I will pay special attention to the role of books and reading in the portrayal of female characters. | hu_HU |
