dc.description.abstractThe thesis explores the importance and use of the antiarrhythmic drugs in the current century. The pharmacokinetic properties of the drugs have been addressed in the thesis. Furthermore, the mechanism of action of the medications with respect to the heart have been discussed. The thesis classifies the drugs according to which ion channels they influence. The thesis also refers to previous experiments with these drugs when used on people as part of a case study.
