Garment Exports of Pakistan and Bangladesh bringing Economic development and labour rights abuses
Absztrakt
The economic impact of garment exports on Pakistan and Bangladesh is investigated in this thesis. The apparel industry is critical to both countries' economies, providing jobs, foreign income and GDP. Garment workers, on the other hand, face poor working conditions, low wages, and long hours, raising concerns about exploitation. The study emphasises the importance of addressing labour, environmental, and social issues in order to ensure long-term economic development. To promote sustainable and non-exploitative development, policymakers and industry stakeholders must enforce labour laws, improve transparency and accountability, and encourage social dialogue.
