dc.description.abstractOur anthropological research team deals with several aspects of artificially deformed skulls found in archaeological excavations of Northeast Hungary. The skulls were dated to the Hun-Germanic Period (5th-6th century AD). It is important to get to know the effect of artificial cranial deformation as deep as possible. Morphological and metric data of the skulls are described and documented, but further comparative analyses are generally not performed due to the relatively small number of cases and gender differences. In this study, we would like to propose a new, easy-to-apply numeric value: the relative difference (RD) number of distortion introduced by us. This relative difference number allows quantitative measures of the effect of artificial distortion on skull dimensions. Such a calculated relative numeric value, which enables and facilitates comparability, has not been used by researchers yet.en
dc.description.abstractKutatócsoportunk északkelet-magyarországi régészeti ásatások során előkerült mesterségesen torzított koponyák több szempontú antropológiai vizsgálatával foglalkozik. A koponyák hun-germán korúnak datált (5–6. század) sírokból származnak. A mesterséges torzítás, mint szokás, koponyára tett hatásának minél részletesebb megismeréséhez szükséges, hogy a koponyák morfológiai és metrikus adatainak leírása és dokumentálása megtörténjen, de a viszonylagos kevés esetszám és a nemi differencia miatt, eddig nem volt mindig lehetőség a további elemzésekre. Jelen munkánkban ennek megoldására szeretnénk javasolni egy egyszerűen alkalmazható úgynevezett torzítási differenciaszámot (RD) a mesterséges torzítás koponyaméretekre tett hatásának kvantitatív megítélése céljából, melyet eddig még ilyen formában nem használtak kutatók.hu
