Risk Factor Management for Metabolic Syndrome
Absztrakt
Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of physiological and metabolic abnormalities such as central obesity, insulin resistance, hypertension, dyslipidemia, high triglycerides, and low HDL. Patients with metabolic syndromes are thought to have a high chance developing cardiovascular events and type 2 diabetes. Treatment for metabolic syndrome is mostly focus on components of risk factors such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and obesity rather than metabolic syndrome itself.
