The thesis titled Ovarian Reserve- Markers of Fertility is a literature review which discusses the currently used methods to assess female fertility in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The changes in ovarian reserve with age and fertility genetics were also reviewed. The clinical usefulness of these markers was also discussed. Application in gynecologic surgery, ability to predict menopause, application in assisted reproduction and their ability to predict premature ovarian insufficiency. Lastly, fertility preservation techniques and prospects aiming to preserve fertility in children, adolescents and women were discussed.
