dc.description.abstractanticoagulants have a major role in secondary prevention of stroke.in addition secondary bleeding due to anticoagulants is a major concern. The comparisons mainly are between DOACs and vitamin k antagonists. DOACs are shown to be as equally or even more efficient in preventing recurrent ischemic strokes in comparison to vitamin k antagonists. In addition, studies have shown that DOACs present a lower risk of intracranial hemorrhage compared to warfarin. Therefore, DOACs are a central subject of continuous research today with the aim to better combat the issue of various neurosurgical emergencies in addition to other medical pathologies.hu_HU
