dc.description.abstractMagyarország vidéki területeinek elnéptelenedése és kiszolgáltatottsága jelen korunk egyik legfontosabb problémája. A falusi emberek tömeges elvándorlása, a megszokott életterük hátrahagyása már eddig is számos konfliktusforrást eredményezett. A vidék fejlesztésének támogatásával, vonzóvá tételével, érdekérvényesítő képességének erősítésével és a gazdasági életbe való jelentősebb integrálásával megállítható lenne a tömeges elvándorlás. A dolgozatban szereplő Sátoraljaújhelyi járás egy határmenti, periférikus elhelyezkedésű, aprófalvas településszerkezetű járás, mely az általában vidéket súlytó társadalmi-gazdasági problémák bemutatására kiválóan alkalmas. A helyszíni interjúk rámutattak arra, hogy a temészetes fogyás mellett a fiatal népesség elvándorlásból eredő népességcsökkenés, az elöregedett korstruktúra bizony gátját jelentik a térség fejlődésének. A kedvező korstruktúrájú települések népességnövekedése a cigány etnikum nagyarányú jelenlétéből fakad, azonban a rájuk jellemző alacsonyabb iskolázottság akadálya annak, hogy a térség fejlődésében meghatározó szerepet játszanak. A legfontosabb feladatok egyike tehát, hogy a járásban élő cigányság társadalmi-gazdasági integrációja mihamarabb elkezdődjön. A járás temészeti szépsége, történelmi és kulturális hagyatékai és hagyományai lehetőséget biztosítanak a turizmus számára, mely egyéb irányú gazdasági fejlesztések (mely a társadalmi tőke stabilizálására és fejlődésére szolgál) mellett akár kitörési pont is lehet a járás jövőbeli fejlődéséhez. / Depopulation of Hungary’s country areas and their exposure are among the most significant problems of our present time. The mass migration of villagers and the fact that they leave behind the living-space they got accustomed to have already caused many conflicts. To be able to stop mass migration we need to advocate rural development and make it more attractive to the public, also need to make the country more capable of standing up for its own interests, and finally we must integrate it more fully to economic life. The district of Sátoraljaújhely is a peripheral border region with many small villages, which make it especially suitable to present problems generally affecting the country. My field research highlighted that the younger generation leave the district behind and the age structure is growing old, both of which contribute to natural population decline and present an obstacle to the region’s development. The more favorable population increase of certain villages is the result of the Gypsy minority’s more significant presence. However, their lack of qualification is an obstacle to being able to play a determining role in the development of the region. One of the most important tasks is to begin the socio-economic integration of the district Gypsy minority as soon as possible. The natural beauty, historical and cultural inheritance and traditions of the district provide an opportunity for tourism, which, beside other types of economic developments (in the service of stabilizing and developing social capital), could serve as a turning point for the future development of the district.hu_HU
