dc.description.abstractThis thesis is about exploring the future of Virtual Reality in the field ofeducation and the benefit it will bring for Astronomy Education in specific. The thesis focused on the field of implementing VR in classroom environments, while also giving an overview of the potential habitability of Mars. The thesis implements a Virtual Reality space with an educational model of the solar system and representing Martian environment in the surrounding space. By using Blender, the model for the room that will contain the solar system model was created, then it was imported to Unity game engine to design a Virtual Reality scene with immersive aspects in the Astronomy field. The goal of the project was to create a 3D learning space for Astronomical elements that would provide an enhanced educational experience than traditional teaching methods.
