In this essay I would like to focus on Native American Spiritualism, mainly within the Maya and the Navajo tribes. This work strives to discuss their particular ceremonial systems which are quite different from each other. During the second chapter Spiritualism in general will be disputed, while in the whole third chapter I am concentrating on shamanism, in general. Furthermore, a comparison of similarities and differences of the Navajo and Mayan ceremonial ways of life will be examined throughout the fourth and fifth chapters.
