dc.description.abstractLexicography is one of the most traditional branches of linguistics. Besides the philosophy of the language and grammar, lexicography is one of the oldest disciplines1. Through the history of lexicography different types of dictionaries have appeared for different purposes. While in the past, dictionaries were created for noble purposes, nowadays dictionary making is business. Dictionaries depend on money and dictionary making has become a branch of the publishing industries. Most dictionaries are born because of business and money making purposes. Fortunately, this business oriented view has benefits to the lexicographers, too. As dictionaries have to be sold to the audience, more modern solutions and tools are needed. Computers are used in dictionary making from the 1960’s and since then the development of the computational background unstoppable.hu_HU
