This thesis I summarized the results of the analyses of environmental pollutants including pesticides and polyaromatic hydrocarbons. After the short overview of the most important recent articles the applied sample preparation and analytical methods are detailed. For the detection of the mentioned components UV- VIS/DAD, and MS detectors were used and compared. As the real samples originated from drinking water or surface water the presence of pesticides and polyaromatic hydrocarbons is not probable (even is is strictly not allowed) we used spiked samples in our work. For the sample preparation we used solid phase extraction and liquid phase extraction. For the preparation of PAHs we applied Argonaut An- 1025 Method, with SPE ISOLUTE PAH column. For the liquid phase extraction we applied MSZ 1484- 6 Method. For the preparation of pesticides SPE ISOLUTE ENV + column was applied. In addition we tried 4 more pesticide SPE columns: Supelco DSC- 18 Lt, Supelco DSC- 18, Supelco DSC- Si, Supelco DPA- 6S. EPA 5500 Method was applied for the HPLC analysis, and EPA 8270 D for GC/ MS. The concentration of our PAH solution was 20 μg / ml, and it was solved in acetonitrile. The injection volume was 20 μl of each samples. Pesticides were analyzed only with GC/ MS and the peaks of each compound were recorded in SIM mode. According to my experience GC/ MS is more reliable than HPLC in PAH and pesticide analysis. It seems more sensitive in detection of these compounds in SIM mode, especially on pesticides. We used HPLC on accessory measurements.
