The purpose of this work is to review the evolution of the POLST form and enlighten the layman on the POLST program and its benefits. A lot of people are not aware of this method of advance care planning and this is because the POLST, although being popular and mostly successful in the United States, has yet to go all around the world. We would be looking at the advantages of the POLST form over other methods of advance care planning in this study. We would also touch a bit on how the POLST can be implemented in Nigeria and possibly, African countries in general.hu_HU
