The dissertation concerns the use of the vascular endothelian growth factor inhibitor medication known as Ranibizumab in the treatment of patients affected by diabetic macular edema, while comparing its effectiveness with other contemporary forms of treatments such as steroids, laser photocoagulation and similar VEGF inhibitors.
