dc.description.abstractWhile sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) were formerly considered to be passive financial investors, today we can see their active presence in international capital markets. The aim of this study is to give an overall view of these funds, which are becoming increasingly important actors in the international monetary and financial system. This study presents the formation and purposes of sovereign wealth funds, as well as the main factors contributing to their growing presence. Moreover, this study provides an insight into the investment activities and practices of these funds. JEL classification: E58, F21, F30, G15en
dc.description.abstractA korábban passzív pénzügyi befektetőkként tevékenykedő szuverén vagyonalapok manapság a tőkepiacok egyre aktívabb résztvevői. E tanulmány átfogó képet kíván nyújtani ezekről a nemzetközi gazdasági rendszerben egyre jelentősebbé váló szereplőkről. Áttekinti kialakulásukat, céljaikat és a térnyerésükben szerepet játszó főbb tényezőket, végül pedig bemutatja befektetési tevékenységüket. JEL kód: E58, F21, F30, G15hu
