this thesis investigates inefficiencies in cleanroom construction projects for lithium-ion battery plants from a Lean Engineering perspective. The research focuses on how disruptions in information flow, design coordination, and stakeholder interfaces create waste throughout the project lifecycle. Using a qualitative case study approach, I analyzed four real project cases from a European battery factory, including requirement clarification, BOQ accuracy, ceiling constructability, and design modifications during construction. Through Value Stream Mapping, I identified three major types of waste: rework, waiting, and coordination inefficiencies. The study found that these problems are mainly caused by fragmented information, insufficient interface management, and the fast-track delivery model. Finally, Lean-based optimization strategies were proposed to improve workflow continuity, reduce non-value-added activities, and enhance project performance in future cleanroom construction projects.
