This thesis explores the pharmacological aspects of cannabis, including its chemical composition, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics. Cannabis has been used for medicinal and recreational purposes for centuries, and recent studies have shed light on the mechanisms by which cannabis affects the body. The review summarizes the current understanding of the major cannabinoids, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), and their interactions with the endocannabinoid system (ECS).
