English Loanwords in Hungarian

Abstract

This paper describes the history of English loanwords in the Hungarian language and gives a brief overview of Hungarian native speakers' attitude towards the borrowings. It also contains a questionnaire's results about how the different generations of Hungary use and recognize English loanwords in the 21th century.
