The project follows Mei, a computer science student facing career challenges, and immerses players in a fast-paced, interactive experience within a McDonald's kitchen environment. Key gameplay elements include first-person controls, a dynamic cooking simulation system, and a unique enemy encounter designed to evoke emotional response. The thesis covers technical aspects such as asset creation, performance optimization, and the integration of both 2D visual novel components and 3D environments. Challenges faced during development, like balancing realism with playability and implementing complex animations, are addressed with effective solutions. Ultimately, the project demonstrates how Unity can be used to create engaging, narrative-rich games that resonate with real-world themes. | |
