The purpose of my thesis is to reflect on the importance of corpus linguistics in the age of computers and more specifically to look at some applications of this branch of linguistics. Although the findings of corpus linguistics can be seen greatly related to the field of teaching foreign languages, in this case, to the teaching of English as a second or foreign language, there is not enough evidence that Computer Aided Language Learning is being given more and more or, at least, adequate prominence in language education.hu_HU
