endometriosis is when the endometrial tissue is found outside of the endometrium. the main cause is unknown but there are theories suggested. the main symptoms are pelvic pain,fatigue,dyspareunia,heavy menstrual bleeding and subfertility. the gold standard of diagnosis is by laparascopy. currently there is no cure but conservative and surgical managements are available.
