dc.description.abstractIn this thesis the A star algorithm is simulated in a grid based MATLAB environment then it is implemented in a real world grid environment using a built mobile robot to carry this out. The Algorithm is analysed in both scenarios to see the disadvantages and benefits. The algorithm is also compared alongside other algorithms to see its strength and weakness in different environments. Through the analysis some improvements and ideas are propsed.
