dc.description.abstractA kutatás a Debreceni Egyetem Bölcsészettudományi Karának Szociológia és Szociálpolitika Tanszékén szociális munka alapszakon, illetve szociálpolitika mesterszakon diplomát szerzett, jelenleg is a szociális pályán dolgozó szakemberek vizsgálatát tűzte ki céljául. Az elemzés során a dolgozatunk címében feltett kérdésre kerestük a választ, miszerint: „Érdemes-e ma szociális munkás diplomát szerezni Magyarországon?” Interjús vizsgálatunk segítségével először felmértük, hogy milyen taszító és vonzó tényezők (push and pull) jellemzőek a szociális munkára, majd ezt követően feltérképeztük, hogy milyen lehetőségek várnak a végzett szociális szakemberekre, illetve előreláthatólag mi a szociális szakma jövője. A dolgozatunk két nagy részből áll. Az első fejezetben a szociális munka történetét a modern polgári társadalom létrejöttének kezdetétől, illetve az államilag szervezett szociálpolitika és a szociális munka szakma kialakulását tekintettük át. A munka második részében az elvégzett interjús kutatás módszeréről, legfontosabb vizsgálati eredményeiről és azok értékeléséről adtunk részletes áttekintést. Fejezetenként ismertettük a főbb elemzési szempontokat, melyek a pályaválasztás, a szakmai szocializáció, maga a szociális munka szakma, a kiégés és a jövőkép voltak. The objective of the study was to scrutinise the professionals that acquired their degrees at the Sociology and Social Policy Department of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Debrecen within the social work bachelor’s course, as well as the social policy master’s course, and that are still working in the social sector. In our study, we sought the answer to the titular question, namely “Is a Social Work Degree Worth Pursuing in Present-day Hungary?”. By means of our interview analysis, first we assessed what push and pull factors were characteristic of social work, and then we surveyed what opportunities social graduates can expect, as well as what prospects the social sector is facing. Our study consists of two main parts. In the first chapter, we reviewed the history of social work from the beginning of modern civil society, and the inception of state-organised social policy and the social work profession. In the second part of our work, we present a detailed assessment of the method of the performed interview research, as well as its most important results and their interpretation. We introduced the main research criteria, i.e. career choice, professional socialisation, the social work profession itself, burnout, and prospects.hu_HU
