This thesis describes the definition, pathophysiology, epidemiology, symptoms, diagnostic methods and treatment options available for type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Furthermore, this thesis aims to describe the clinical complications of diabetic foot, where the pathophysiology, diagnostic tools and most importantly, treatment options (pharmacological and other) are discussed and explored.
