dc.description.abstract	A Heterorhabditis génuszba tartozó, Photorhabdus baktériumokkal szimbiózisban élő rovarpatogén fonálférgek a biológiai növényvédelmi célú kutatási munkák egyik leggyakrabban használt alanyai. Értekezésem fő célja, hogy a hazai, alkalmazásorientált kutatási tevékenység alapjainak megteremtéséhez járuljon hozzá a magyarországi Heterorhabditis/Photorhabdus fauna részletes leírásával, és a fonálférgek baktériumok által befolyásolt kompetíciós viszonyainak leírásával. Munkám során három Heterorhabditis faj, a H. bacteriophora, H. downesi és a H. megidis jelenlétét mutattam ki Magyarországon. A szimbionta baktériumok jellemzésekor két faj összesen négy alfaját azonosítottam, és egy korábban nem azonosított taxont új alfajként, Photorhabdus temperata subsp. cinerea néven írtam le. Laboratóriumi kísérletekkel megállapítottam, hogy a H. megidis és a H. downesi fonálférgek különböző gazdaszervezetekkel szembeni patogenitási képességét a szimbionta baktériumok jelentősen befolyásolják. A két, azonos élőhelyen gyakran együttesen előforduló fonálféregfaj kompetíciós viszonyait a szimbionta baktériumok szintén befolyásolják. Entomopathogenic nematodes of the genus Heterorhabditis are symbiotically associated with Photorhabdus bacteria. These organisms are one of the most frequently used agents of biocontrol researches. The main goal of my PhD thesis is to contribute to establishing of the scientific bases of the Hungarian applied biocontrol research with surveying of the Hungarian Heterorhabditis/Photorhabdus fauna, and studying bacteria mediated competition ability of these nematodes. I recorded the presence of three Heterorhabditis species in Hungary, H. bacteriophora, H. downesi, and H. megidis. During the characterizing of the symbiotic Photorhabdus bacteria, I could identify two species with altogether four subspecies, and I described a new taxon: Photorhabdus temperata subsp. cinerea. H. megidis and H. downesi are frequently co-occuring entomopathogenic nematode species, and I showed, that symbiotic bacteria can modify the pathogenic success of these two species against different insect hosts. The competition relations between these two nematodes can be modified by the symbiotic Photorhabdus bacteria, as well.	hu_HU
