dc.description.abstractAz 1980-90-es évek fordulóján a kelet- és közép-európai országokban - köztük Magyarországon is - gyökeres politikai, társadalmi és gazdasági változás ment végbe. A változások a villamosenergia-ipart is igen jelentős mértékben érintették. Hazánk energiahordozókban szegény ország, ezért az energetika szektorának fejlesztése mindig komoly megpróbáltatások elé állítja az ország politikai és szakmai vezetőit. A globalizációs hatások megerősödtek, a helyi gazdaságok versenyhelyzetbe kerültek, s az Európai Unió által támasztott követelmények is nagy kihívást jelentettek. Az iparág szerkezete átalakult, s ezzel együtt markáns területi átrendeződések is megfigyelhetők. A szakmai érvek és a politikai döntések sok esetben nem egyeznek, amelyek napjaink energetikai problémáját még inkább elmélyítik. Nehéz helyzetben vannak a döntéshozók, hogy összeegyeztessék az ellátásbiztonság, a versenyképesség, a környezetvédelem és a szociális felelősség elvének együttes megvalósítását. A lakosság, a civil szféra és a gazdasági élet szereplői körében is kitűntetett figyelmet kap az energiaipar, óriási visszhangja van a privatizációnak, a liberalizációnak, az erőmű-létesítéseknek, az áramáremeléseknek és az esetenként előforduló üzemzavaroknak is. At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, revolutionary political, social and economical transitions took place in the Eastern and Central European countries including Hungary These changes also had a significant impact on the electricity industry. Hungary is a country short of energy sources, therefore the development of the energy sector is considered to be a serious challenge to the nation’s political and policy leaders. The effects of globalisation increased, local economies became competitive and the demands of the European Union meant a great challenge. The structure of the industry has undergone transition and, along with this, a remarkable regional resturcturing can also be observed. As seen from the citation above, professionals’ arguments and political decisions often do not correspond, further deepening today’s energy problems. Decision-makers are in a difficult situation when trying to perform a joint implementation of the principles of supply security, competitiveness, environmental protection and social responsibility. Special attention is paid to the energy industry by the population, the civil sphere and the players of the economy; privatisation, liberalisation, the establishment of power-plants, the increase of the price of electricity and even occasional breakdowns attract great attention.en
