| dc.description.abstract | Chitosan shows great promise as a hemostatic and anti-inflammatory agent as well as a promoter of wound healing and tissue regeneration. Furthermore, these properties of Chitosan, in addition to its biocompatibility, biodegradability and antimicrobial effects, promote its utility to improve the overall outcome of microsurgical flap reconstructions by improving flap survival and promoting flap tissue healing and regeneration. Moreover, the availability of different types of Chitosan-based material provides more potential to utilize them in different fields of microsurgical flap reconstruction. flap reconstructions. | |
