Sexual and Textual Androgyny: Vita Sackville-West and Virginia Woolf’s Orlando and A Room of One’s Own
Absztrakt
My thesis about the analysis of Virginia Woolf's idea about androgyny. In the first part of my essay, I examine Woolf's relationship with Vita Sackville-West and draw parallels between Vita's life and the life of Orlando in Woolf's novel. In the second part, I analyse Woolf's Orlando and A Room of One's Own focusing on the elements of the androgyne. At the end of my thesis I compare Woolf's two works and try to define Woolf's ideal androgynous state.
