the implementation of Value Stream Mapping (VSM)-based Lean manufacturing approaches that have been in a simulated context of an assembly line. The discussions were: (A) push/batch production system baseline, (B) SMED with one-piece flow, and (C) changing the floorplan’s layout and using Value Stream Mapping. The system with Integrated Lean processes resulted in up to 83.55% shorter lead times, with changeover times reduced to 30%, and with a reduced distance walked by Operators too. This thesis presents a synthesized manufacturing line that uses other research papers to base production, parameters and lean methods on. It includes a (spaghetti diagram) walk-distance metric, a value stream map comparison and lead time change in two systems.
