Power Relations in Early Colonial New South Wales: Governor Lachlan Macquarie

Abstract

This thesis analyses events which happened in the early nineteenth century and Governor Lachlan Macquarie’s achievements in Australia. My aim is to examine not only the historical events and the development of the colony, but to explore the influence of human characters and the influence of their power relations on the events.
