Anaemia is a global problem affecting many women inside and outside of pregnancy. It defines the body's inability to produce enough Hb to provide sufficient oxygenation of one's tissues.The prime Hb concentration needed to meet physiologic needs varies by age, sex, elevation of residence, smoking habits and pregnancy status. There are many different types and are classified depending on morphology of RBCs or pathogenesis. The most common type are dietary deficiencies, especially iron.
