The novel coronavirus: a new emerging threat

Abstract

This review covers the general virological knowledge about the SARS-CoV-2, the clinical presentation, diagnostic methods, currently available therapeutical options as well as preventive measures including various types of vaccinations that are more and more practiced worldwide. Correct understanding of the disease and appropriate protections are indispensable to prevent the further worsening of the situation.
