Dental erosion has been increasing among the population, affecting all ages, especially childhood. Dental erosion is an irreversible multifactorial tooth wear, caused by the chemical dissolution of acids not of bacterial origin. Many etiological factors contribute to the manifestation of this tooth loss, especially intrinsic or extrinsic acid. This thesis discusses the main topics that involve erosion focusing on the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and therapy. The main goal of the thesis is to raise awareness about this type of tooth wear to the working clinician and the patient as well.hu_HU
