Absztrakt

Malignant melanoma is a most fatal form of skin cancer. Dermoscopy is a high-resolution, non-invasive imaging technique that helps doctors make more precise diagnoses of skin cancers. Melanoma is a form of aggressive, rapidly growing skin cancer. As a result, malignant melanoma remains one of the most rapidly growing cancers in the world. After metastasizing its origin in other tissues, the response rate to treatment decreases by up to 5%, and its 10-year survival rate is only around 10%. Following metastases, there is no surgical ablation option available for treatment. Early identification of malignant melanoma is therefore essential. Melanoma has the highest false negative ratio of any type of skin cancer.
