dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of my thesis is to give a general overview of the history of the Hungarian immigration to Canada. The first half of the work will focus on highlighting the major characteristics of the different periods of immigration, and in the second half I will examine the past and present of some Hungarian Canadians I happen to know either personally, or through their writings, and letters they sent to their relatives and friends, or through other peoples’ accounts, whom I could interview during my stay in Transylvania.hu_HU
