In this paper I am going to follow up the process of motion pictures - especially Western movies - using Native American images and stereotypes, presented them as historically real and accurate facts. My aim is to highlight the causes and effects of these films, intentionally or unintentionally using inexact, false and incorrect images about Indians, presenting them as they have never existed in reality. I also intend to follow the palpable shift from the application of strong and harsh orthodox stereotypes toward slighter and smoother ones along the roughly one century-long history of film making.
